NG-SOS becomes the first EU-registered integrator offering Apple Enhanced Emergency Data
NG-SOS is known as the leading European technology platform for extended emergency communications, currently supporting emergency services in seven European countries. It helps Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) process multiple communication and data sources within a single operational environment, enabling emergency services to access relevant operating-system-based, app-based, and web-based data sources quickly and make more informed decisions during critical incidents. Building on this foundation, NG-SOS has now reached an important milestone by becoming the first EU-registered integrator of Apple Enhanced Emergency Data (EED).
Apple Enhanced Emergency Data is a system-level capability built directly into iPhone and Apple Watch. When an emergency communication is initiated via an emergency call or SMS to a 1-1-2, 9-1-1 or other recognized emergency number, or through Emergency SOS via satellite on supported devices and in supported regions, the device automatically transmits critical information to authorized emergency services. This includes the device’s location with low uncertainty and high integrity and, if enabled by the user, selected Medical ID information.
Within the NG-SOS portal, this information becomes available to emergency call takers and dispatchers. The platform visualizes the EED data provided by the Apple device, enabling faster emergency communication and improved situational awareness for operators. NG-SOS integrates seamlessly with existing CAD and other PSAP infrastructure, supporting operators while maintaining the familiar environment and workflow used in emergency call centers.
NG-SOS has an operational footprint in seven European countries, making it the most widely deployed platform of its kind in Europe. Developed by a European team, the platform is designed specifically with the European operational environment, regulatory framework, and interoperability requirements in mind. Its ecosystem facilitates multiple channels of communication with the caller, including multi-source caller location, Real-Time Text (RTT), video communication, multimedia cross-PSAP data sharing, and AI-assisted tools supporting operators during emergencies.
We will be presenting this milestone and the NG-SOS integration of Apple Enhanced Emergency Data at the EENA Conference 2026, and we look forward to meeting many of you there and discussing how these technologies can further support modern emergency communications across Europe
